Description: Primary concepts toward understanding the use and significance of language as a product of human mind.
Course Objectives: At the end of the course, the student is expected to:
1. have broadened his/her knowledge about the production, origin, characteristics, and the efficiency of language as a unique ability of human beings.
2. have understood and valued language as a product of human intelligence with emphasis on the language situation in the Philippines.
3. be able to relate the study of language with other disciplines of human knowledge.
