Hi.

    • linggwistiks said,

      May 30, 2011 at 11:56 pm

Ken, I’m afraid the current modules might be too easy for you (each module corresponds to 30 hours of learning only)…

Hi! pwede po ba magbukas ng Japanese module 5? interested po ako sa medyo advance na japanese. Thanks.

Ken, you may invite friends of the same level and petition for a higher module…

    • linggwistiks said,

Jean, Department of Linguistics doesn’t handle European Languages (you may inquire at the UP Dep’t. of European Languages if they offer similar program)…

    Hi,
I wish to enroll to those Korean Classes this August but I think Im a bit late. Am I able to still enroll or do I have to wait until the next cycle?

    Kamsahmnida🙂

    • linggwistiks said,

      June 12, 2011 at 9:24 am

Jona, if the classes will start in August, then you still have the time..unless the Department specified a deadline (which you might want to negotiate..they weren’t strict on this, and I see no reason to be ultra strict about the deadline)….so go and register asap! good luck!

    good day!

I’m interested in the extramural course in UP.
I’m just wondering if the classes for the Spanish program are closed, is there any next cycle of classes? How much would the whole program cost? Thanks

    • linggwistiks said,

      June 25, 2011 at 9:39 pm

Rej, Spanish is handled by the Department of European Languages, not by the Linguistics Dep’t…

    Hi,
Is there a minimum number of students required for each class? And how much will the whole session cost?

    • linggwistiks said,

      November 3, 2011 at 12:47 am

Hi Francis! A big apology for this extremely late response—minimum is 12–whole session costs PhP 2,800

hi i just like to ask what if the class dont reach the no. of students required?would it still pursue it’s classes?tnx:)

    • linggwistiks said,

      September 25, 2011 at 12:30 am

Hi Julie! Sorry for the late response! My summer sched was pretty hectic…As far as I know, classes should be cancelled if the number of students does not reach the minimum, which is 12. I am not sure how the department handles the “almost twelve” scenario (like 10 or 11 for instance)..

Question lang, Module 1 is equivalent to which subject kapag sa UP talaga kinuha? (Like 1/2 lang ba siya ng Hapon 10 or Hapon 10 na talaga?)

    • linggwistiks said,

      November 3, 2011 at 12:27 am

Module 1 is only about half of the scope of the first level in language courses offered during regular semesters. In addition, extramural classes are non-credit, and may not be used as a substitute to any regular language course…
